Data Transparency

Last Updated: July 2026

Transparency is a core tenet of the Luqman platform. We believe you have the absolute right to understand exactly how the system processes data, generates insights, and maintains the boundaries of privacy.

1. A Safe Space for Your Child

Your child's experience in Luqman is closed: no open web browsing, no outgoing links for your child to click, and no ads or cross-site tracking pixels. To generate replies, your child's messages are processed by trusted AI providers (see the next section), and their data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.

2. The "No Training" Guarantee

We do not train our models on your child's conversations. Replies are processed by AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic through their APIs, which under their default API terms do not use data sent through the API to train their models.

3. How Parent Summaries Work

To provide you with the Weekly Parental Digest, Luqman employs a secondary, isolated categorization system:

  • It analyzes the context of conversations automatically to identify broad topics (e.g., "Space", "History", "Math").
  • It distills the pedagogical state (e.g., "Struggled with fractions but asked good questions").
  • It strips out overly raw transcripts unless specifically requested by you for safety auditing.

4. Voice Data

If your child uses voice input, the audio is securely sent to our servers and transcribed to text by a trusted speech-to-text provider. We use the audio only to produce the transcript, and we do not build voice prints or voice profiles of your child.
